How to budget for a weddingShow me the money, Jerry McGuire, because you had me at hello.

Nothing is sure to add more stress to a wedding than the dollars and cents of the event – this is likely to hold true in your married life too, so buyer beware. It’s a touchy subject, but figuring out the who’s and how much’s of donating parties is necessary before you sign your name on any dotted lines.

In a ‘Budgeting for Your Wedding Day’ session we will start by determining the list of each type of vendor you’ll need to hire based on your own specific vision. From there we will discuss what elements of the day are most important to you. Is the music the most vital part of the day, or is it the photography or food? We will allot certain “goal” amounts that you will be able to spend on hiring each vendor, allowing you to stay on budget during your planning.

Most couples end up 15% over budget. This is often times attributed to the fact that proper budgets aren’t established and followed from the very beginning. 15% over budget on a $30,000 event is $4,500. The cost of this session is a small expenditure in respect to that amount.

And, yes, talking money in regards to your wedding day may bring down the sexy level just a little, but it could save you hours of verbal sparring with your honey… and that just may give you back that little bit ‘o’ sexy.
